“As a working parents, our number one priority was to find a safe, stimulating and caring environment for our children. Both our children (5 and 3) have been in Marbles (formerly Little Apples) since they were 1 year old, and I believe that Marbles has more than lived up to our expectations!

From the wobbler and toddler rooms through to Montessori I have always felt they were cared for and nurtured by the staff. I also feel while there is structure to the day there is a relaxed environment reflected in the way I can’t get my children to leave in the evenings with me, until they’ve shown me what they did that day or shared a story!

The high staff retention over the years means there has been continuity and familiarity with parents and children which I also feel is very important. The staff have always been willing to discuss what went on during the day, what kind of form they are in, how they ate etc. and any issues raised are done so in a discreet and caring way.

A summary of what they eat and get up to is provided in writing so you have a record of their naps/meals etc., which is very useful and reassuring too. There is even a parent teacher meeting when they have progressed to Montessori which is lovely – it’s really nice to hear how they are getting on specifically with the Montessori work. They are provided with a good freshly made dinner every day (a schedule is provided to avoid repetition at home!), plenty of fruit etc. and plenty of scheduled activities and free play. Both boys go in happily every day which makes leaving them to go to work an awful lot easier.

My eldest son started school in September and I’ve now enrolled him in the breakfast club and after school programme in Marbles – This has helped him feel secure as he is with carers and friends in a familiar environment and has adjusted easily!”

My daughter has attended Marbles Crèche and Montessori for over 2 year’s and I can truly say it’s like a home from home. The staff are not only professional and friendly but care for the children like they’re their own. In 2011 when I was an emotional wreck at the thoughts of leaving my little man at 12 months old I found not just a crèche but a family in Marbles. The love and affection they show the children in their care is something very special. Both of our boys have moved from wobblers to toddlers to Montessori and are now afterschoolers! All through their journey they have been loved and cared for by the most amazing people who I know they will always remember. Anne and her team have created a safe and happy place for children to grow and learn. We have been with Marbles Creche for over 5 years now and could not recommend them highly enough. We have been through the Wobbler Room, Toddler Room, Montessori and the After School facilities. Each and every one of the girls genuinely care so much about the children they are looking after (even after they have left always asking after them and looking to see them). My children were and are extremely happy there. Even when my child is ill the girls just take full control of the situation and I can honestly say I have complete confidence in any decision they make.
